About this deal

To grow well, plants need a wide range of nutrients in various amounts, depending on the individual plant and its stage of growth. The three key plant nutrients usually derived from soil are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, while carbon, oxygen and hydrogen are absorbed from the air. Other vital soil nutrients include magnesium, calcium and sulphur. Gardeners can add nutrients by applying fertilisers (either artificial or naturally derived) to boost plant growth and improve flowering and fruiting. nutrients compared to synthetic fertilisers such as Growmore, as illustrated below, and it is slower to release its nutrient content, some of which will not be available until the soil warms up in late spring and summer, even if the product is applied in late winter or early spring. During dry weather, water before sowing seeds and after planting. A. Remove any visible pellets and heavily water the area to dissolve and wash through excess product. Mineral Analysis: Fresh and composted poultry litter may contain bacteria that are harmful to humans. Avoid breathing in the dust of these products, wear gloves when handling them, and avoid eating and smoking while working with them. As one of nature’s great soil improvers Poultry Manure is the perfect choice for gardeners looking for an organic, environmentally friendly fertiliser. Here are 6 reasons why you should try fish, blood and bone fertiliser: 1) Gradual-Release but Not Slow-Release

Dried and processed poultry manure products, such as pellets and powders, are often sterilised during manufacture, so are less of a risk. Continuous laboratory controlled monitoring is maintained and recorded, ensuring a sterile, safe product. Roses – Two or three handfuls 135-210g/sqm to each rose bush when planting, one or two handfuls for established bushes when the buds begin to swell and again before the second flush of blooms.Transplanting – 140-170g/sqm. Add to soil 2 weeks prior to transplanting, making sure the soil is ready for nutrient uptake and aiding growth after moving. Potted Plants : For a 20cm diameter pot use about 25g and for a 30cm diameter pot use about 50g. Water thoroughly.

Fish, blood and bone fertiliser is perfect as it fully dissolves in about 3-4 weeks and provides gradually released nutrients to the plants without burning them. Vegetables - 20kg per 100m² - incorporate into the soil well before sowing/planting. Top dress with 8kg/100m² after one third of cultivation period We compost fully undercover to avoid leaching or loss of Humic Acid. Humic Acid is the most plant available fertiliser and is a respected and honoured component of our pellets. Composting – 200g/sqm. Spread the recommended amount between layers of organic material to provide a nutrient rich compost.TOTALLY NATURAL: You won’t find a more organic product, our poultry manure is not only potent but is absolutely 100% natural. With no additives that also means you can use it on your lime-hating (ericaceous) plants too! Dried poultry manure can be used on vegetable and fruit crops, although additional potassium fertiliser may be needed (e.g. sulphate of potash or organic potassium-rich fertilisers derived from sugar beet processing). Poultry manure and ericaceous (acid-loving) plants

An average dose for top-dressing is 150g per sq m (4½oz per sq yd)for most crops. However, it is better to under-dose than over-dose, as more can always be added later. For less hungry crops or lawns at risk of scorch, 100g per sq m (3oz per sq yd)may be preferable. For greedy vegetable crops use 200g per sq m (6oz per sq yd), but split this into two doses with a four week gap between applications. Use a fertiliser that has been specifically designed for lawn use such as Aftercut Ultra Green or Safelawn. Raw manure contains the wrong form of Nitrogen. Composting converts most Nitrate Nitrogens into microbial protein and mineralised ammonium which is the most beneficial form of nitrogen for plants as it is readily available for the plant to use, converting the energy into plant growth.Fertilisers usually have their nitrogen, phosphate and potassium levels expressed as 'NPK' values. Nitrogen promotes green leafy foliage; phosphate promotes strong root systems and potash promotes fruit and flower production and general plant health. Lawns : Apply 2-3kg for every 10 square metres. Water in thoroughly and immediately for best results. As the product isn’t a liquid, there’s less runoff and wastage too. 2) It makes for a Perfect Soil Improver/Base Feed ALL-ROUND USE: Elixir Poultry Manure is an effective and an easy to use no mess fertiliser for use all around the garden.
